I have no idea how to help you, sorry :/ I wish you luck in finding that snack you’re looking for tho!
I'm on Varsity for hurdles and I'm only a freshman, and that's going well (I'm beating my PRs for the 400m hurdles and the 100m hurdles every meet :D ) and I also do Long Jump for Varsity. I've been jumping 14s and my best is 14ft 7in, and I was jumping at a meet and I got 12s every single one of my jumps! Help! What if I lost it and they don't want me to jump Varsity anymore :'(
I don’t think your coaches are going to kick you off of varsity just because of one bad day! Not to brag, but I’m one of my school’s top point scorers, and I have my bad days every once in a while, if my coach where to take me out of an upcoming meet because I had a bad day before, the team would be screwed. So don’t worry about that, just keep working hard and make up for what you did next time! good luck ! :)
I just began pole vault this season and I'm already on varsity. I had a meet yesterday and I couldn't even clear starting height. I have no clue what happened. Any advice?
1. Your mind in practice is more relaxed because you’re “practicing” so what you want to do is get rid of all the nerves and relax before you jump.
2. You may possibly just need to keep working on getting form down
3. Don’t expect everything to come easily just because you’re on varsity now. Keep training hard, learn to cope with your nerves, focus, and I wish you good luck! :)
